# nstatxt

> Free, instant, ephemeral file and document sharing. Drop files onto a page, get one link, send it. No account, no email address, no ads, and no paid tier. Documents auto-delete on a schedule you choose.

nstatxt turns whatever you drop on the page into a shareable link. A document holds file attachments and a Markdown note, and everyone with the view link sees changes in real time — so the link stays correct while you keep working, instead of freezing at the moment you sent it.

Key facts:

- Price: completely free. There is no paid plan, no trial and no advertising.
- Accounts: none, for the sender or the recipient.
- Links: every document has an edit link (private, lets you change it) and a view link (read-only, the one you share).
- Retention: 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days, or never. Default 3 days. Expired documents and their files are deleted automatically.
- File types: any. Images, video, audio, PDFs and text preview in the browser; files download individually rather than as a zip archive.
- Live updates: viewers see new files and edits without refreshing.
- API: `POST https://nstatxt.com/api/v1/documents` with a multipart `file` field returns the view and edit links as JSON. No key needed. Details in llms-full.txt.
